Why Hypnotherapy?
If you wish to unfold your personal journey by changing your direction swiftly and with flexibility to move past obstacles and blockages that limit your growth — if you would like to allow your best self to emerge and shine as you work with the power of your own positive energy towards reaching your full potential – therapeutic hypnosis may be your answer.
What is Hypnosis?
Have you ever shared the emotion of a character in a movie to the point where you find yourself shedding your own tears, bursting into laughter or having your heart beat faster in anticipation of a thrill? If you have, you experienced a trance-like state similar to that of hypnosis. Depending on your suggestibility, you can enter this natural state under different circumstances several times during the day, perhaps immersed in your own daydreaming, concentrated in a good book or lost in creativity.
Hypnosis is a heightened state of awareness, a focus of the mind that can be obtained when the conscious and subconscious mind work in synchronicity. During hypnosis, a person is neither asleep nor fully awake, but in between, in a state where the subconscious mind is more open to receiving suggestions…much like the state you are in shortly before falling asleep or while waking up in the morning, in which you are conscious and may feel deeply relaxed.
Self-Hypnosis:
All hypnosis is in reality self-hypnosis. Only when a person wants and accepts the experience to happen, whether self-induced or by allowing a hypnotherapist to help take them there, can hypnosis occur. The subject will never do anything he/she does not want to do and is always in control of his mind and body.
